Hey QCyclust crew! π΄ββοΈπ
Can you believe it's been an entire year since I took the plunge into the world of Zwift? On day one, I was a bundle of nerves mixed with excitement, unsure if cycling was just a fleeting hobby or my new groove. Spoiler alert π«£: It became the rhythm of my daily life!
Rewind to the early days, and you'd find me struggling through a 30-minute ride, wondering what I'd gotten myself into. Now, I'm a different beast on the bike β we're talking multi-hour marathon type rides, climbing mode, and I cannot forget my favorite sprints to try and snag the jerseys and PR's; plus that feeling of being unstoppable! But yet stillβ¦ I'm wondering what Iβd gotten myself into lol!! I guess some things never change
The evolution from my small investment of a hybrid Trek to get me started - to a sleek Niner 1x gravel bike with those racy drop bars was a game-changer. And the jerseys? Oh, collecting these vibrant beauties became an obsession β both in Zwift's digital realm and in the tangible world. Itβs like Iβm on a quest to capture every cycling jersey out there! Truth be told, Iβm also obsessed with bold, badass cycling socks too! Anything I can do to get that extra bit of umph and motivation to keep going in those moments of wanting to quit in the pain and struggling.
But then came a plot twist β a three-month forced hiatus. No Zwift, no cycling, nothing. Initially, it felt like losing a piece of myself. However, this break morphed into a hidden treasure. It allowed me to dive into another passion β creating my website and brand, QCyclust. Amidst designing and launching my shop with a plethora of cycling designs I'd dreamt up, I discovered a new facet of my love for cycling. ππ¨
Returning to Zwift post-break was like a reawakening. Each ride was more than just exercise; it became a celebration of my journey β from a cycling enthusiast to an entrepreneur. The Zwift community was there and still there, cheering me on, making every ride a shared adventure filled with laughter and camaraderie.
Reflecting on this Zwift year, I see a journey that started with uncertainty but blossomed into a full-blown love affair with cycling. Zwift didn't just improve my cycling; it spun me into a world of incredible friendships and creative pursuits.
So, here's a toast to one year of Zwifting and the many more to come! Whether you're just starting or you're a seasoned pro, remember, every ride is a chance to push your limits, forge new friendships, and enjoy every moment. Let's keep spinning those stories, one pedal stroke at a time! ππ΄ββοΈ
Until our next ride, keep spinning, keep smiling, and let's make every moment count!
PS...I wish Zwift would make a big deal about anniversaries lol. I really wanted a special digital jersey, so instead...I created my own! Check it out on my Instagram!!
Cheers,
Queen Caution
